Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)/Give me a carrot
Expert: Sharon Crandall - 4/3/2011
QuestionWhy are you so anti Ritalin? Are you going to give me a carrot if I have ADHD and depression. Yes they addictive and so is sex. Ritalin makes me sick but somedays it makes me high and I mix it with other drugs. I think you must give me carrots and spinage to see if it cures all mental problems. But I am interested to know why you are so anti-drug. What are you a scientologist?
AnswerDear Peter,
No, I am not a Scientologist or anything like it. I am trained to understand the value of a person's brain and how it functions through personality traits. I have worked with people for over 30 years helping them to work with their traits to get them to work for them rather than against them. I think a person's brain and personality is precious and is designed for his purpose here on earth. I am opposed to Ritalin because it messes with a person's brain and his personality, weakens the heart, and is addictive.
I think it is sad that you seek drugs to get high when there are ways to find happiness and peace within by finding and living your purpose. What a waste of the brain and personality that God gave you and that you could use to create a good life for yourself and also more fully make a contribution to our world.
I suffered black depression for a number of years and was able to overcome it through healthful products, working with my traits, learning about my personality needs and finding fulfillment and purpose in life. I help others do the same, with depression and other challenges.
My daughter had a friend who the Drs. wanted to put on Ritalin. Instead, his mother helped him develop his talents. At age 23, instead of having his brain fried on drugs he was a tri-athlete, spoke 3 languages fluently, and played 3 musical instruments.
You were born with over 60 personality traits in a unique pattern. There are no two people alike and no one can replace what you could do while here on earth. While the medical profession has set unrealistic and oppressive standards of learning and behavior, perpetrating the idea that all children/people should learn the same way and therefore need powerful drugs that effect their brains; the truth is there are many kinds of genius that manifest through personality. I help people find their own particular kind of genius. While the medical profession is bound and determined to make everyone alike I instead celebrate individuality. My business card reads that I am an advocate for individuality. Drugs damage a person's potential and his individuality.
You see, Peter, there is an energy with our more powerful traits and trait patterns. By understanding them you can find an outlet for that energy and therefore turn ADHD into productivity and fulfillment.
And that, Peter, is why I am opposed to harmful drugs that have both physical and emotional side affects. If that is what you want, be my guest. I offer something different.
