I am 23 years old was just recentley put on Adderall XR, at 10 mg once a day.  I am also on Wellbutrin for Depression.  I have read many articles on stimulants and Adderall in general , but I am finding inconsitencies.  Some are saying to take it everyday to build the Adderall up in my system, and some are saying to take breaks every once and a while to not build a tolerance. My main fear in life is to become addicted to things as I have fought off a few addictions in the past, to alcohol, cigarettes and what not. Also if I do take it everyday will I just keep needing more and more.

Your doctor should have explained all to you. These are basic but important questions. Adderal XL 10 mg is a very small dose and does not cover the whole day.Only non experts will suggest having breaks. It is essentrial to take both every day. There is no tendency to trollerence and neither are addictive. The treatment is almost always long term, but it is essential to have optimal dosages.
