Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)/core assessment

Question
my son is on his 5th social worker in a yr, this S/W does NOT believe in ADHD and ODD. He dropped off a package the other week, for me to sign and return. This was a core assessment, and the first Id seen of any care plan, assessment or anything. Nearly all of the information was wrong and I asked to see my file and all information. Should this assessment be put on hold until all information is corrected? Why is the information wrong anyway? Why have I been turned down an carers assessment?
Many thanks

Answer
sorry for the delay in replying only i have only just received notice that i had been asked a question!

however i am afraid it is fairly difficult to answer such a question as a general question as services and things vary depending on where you are

may i suggest that you check out the website that i run at http://www.adders.org where you can find out a lot more about social services if you are in the UK by visiting the information section - children

also you may be interested in joining our busy forum boards where i am sure that there will be a number of parents and admin who would be able to give advise and also you would be able to e-mail me direct with some more specific details or find contacts for a local support group who would also be able to help you further

however if you are not in the UK you will be able to find links to support networks in many other countries and from these a local support group who again would be able to advice you further

sorry again for the delay in replying
