Follow-Ups to Answer from Expert Dr Billy Levin

I am a mother of an adhd child who also was given a ridiculously high dose of concerta and kept wondering the same question. I choose to take him to a lower dose. He is now on 36 mgs. We have to accept some of his behaviours but I refuse to give him a higher dose and risk his future health in order for him to conform. It has actually worked out better. He is much more social and loving. I would suggest other therapies instead of giving your son too much meds. If the meds aren't working at a regular dose then something else needs to be done. I would also find a new doctore. I changed doctors because I didn't feel comfortable with a doctor who doesn't worry about doing things not sanctioned by the FDA and the drug makers.
