Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)/How can I fix add without taking pills?
Expert: Dr Billy Levin - 2/16/2007
QuestionOkay I was tested when I was about 8 years old it didn't show that I was add but now that i'm 18 I think I have it bad even though I havent took a test for it.
Things I do that I want to fix:
1.) I forget things really easy
2.) It's hard for me to stay constant on one thing.
3.) I get tired when I read(sometimes headachs)
These are the major things i'm having issues with. I have the will power to do it and I try my hardest to do my best on whatever i'm doing but I always forget.
Like for instance I play this game(stragey game) I've been playing for 3 years I study as hard as I possible can, and yet my skill level never changes! This's with all things in my life not just this one thing. Like when I play guitar I can play the first begining of the song but when it gets harder I cant play it. And I really want to and I sit down for hours and hours at a time trying to learn it but I never can.
Please help me idk what else to do, and I really dont have alot of money for pills and I hear alot of kids kill thereselfs or do crazy stuff when they take the pills.
AnswerIf you suspect you have ADHD/ADD all I can suggest is you see an expert doctor who will examine you and treat if neccessary. The medical treatment is considered very safe, very effective but has to be used correctly and regularly. From what you describe, I feel you could be right about you having ADHD/ADD.
