Question
I have a 7 year old boy that was recently diagnosed with A.D.H.D and has some kind of seizures, not even noticible. The Doctor prescribed him Adderal xr 5 mg. and Depakote.  Are these medications too strong for him or is there a natural medicine to prescribe?

Answer
It is impossible for me to advise on dosages of these medications without examining the patient.Using  rating scales from parent's and school are essential to establish optimal doses of Adderal. Both medications will work best on optimal doses, Depakote must also be titrated to optimal levels first, to prevent seizures when trialing Adderal. I do nor suggest natural medicines when Pharmacological medication is safe and possibly more effective.
