Question
hi,
i go to an all girls-high school and i just cant seem to meet any new guys to make friends with/get together with. ive tried hanging out with some of my friends guy friends, but it just gets awckward because i dont really know them. what can i do to meet guys more easily?

Answer
Hi Emily,

There must be guys somewhere around the school. I'm sure there are guys not far away who would like to meet girls. Ask around. Ask your friend and her guy friends. There are lots of places online where you can meet guys and you can look in your geographic area. I don't know how you will get out to see them in person, but that depends on your resources for transportation.

This link has a list of a lot of resources:

- there are loads of places to go on the internet where you can get a profile and even search by location as well as interest.  You can get to know the person anonymously first; read

and

before trying this out. Of course, even MySpace has a geographic search and groups.

Are you allowed to go to church off campus? You could meet someone in a youth group at church.

These are just some ideas. It depends on your location and what resources you have.

Good luck!

Expertise

I've been answering questions online for over a decade & have received good ratings. I've also helped people in many other situations - in person and in other ways online. Looking for a lifelong, loving relationship? I`ve been with the same partner for 30+ years and it's not just a coincidence. I've worked at it and the first part was to find the right man for me. I hope I can help you do the same.

Experience

My own marriage has worked out great, though it has taken work, I've learned a lot and continue to learn. I realize, though, that everyone is different and so is each relationship, so I enjoy observing others. I've also read a lot about the subject and know many couples - some who have made poor partner decisions and others who've maintained a lifelong relationship of love.

Education/Credentials
I am educated as a teacher and primarily work with young people, many who are already attracted to the opposite sex at a young age, but their families often are poor role-models for having a life-long relationship.
