How to Attract the Man of Your Dreams - fell in love too soon, now he wont talk to me

Question
My problem is that I met this guy whilst on holiday.  he was a friends' friend's friend.
I did not even really like him at first.

then i invited all 3 friends to come to  watch a show to celebrate my birthday they live 3 hrs away.

Only He came.

The weekend started ok, we went for the show, very nice, walked the dog by the lake, picked the kids up from a friend I did his hair.
He bonded so well with the kids, and i realised that i had started liking him.

We kissed that night and realised we had a lot of chemistry, which was a surprise for me. We slept in the same bed that night very close but we did not actually have sex, because we thought we should wait.

We decided we would see each other every other weekend as we live 3 hrs apart.

Then i felt I had known him all my life and had fallen in love with him. Very quick I know, I just have that gut feeling.

I called him too much the next two weeks, and he complained that I was calling him every 2 mins and that it was too much.

At the time i could not control myself.

I  slowed it down a bit and called 3 times a day.

after 2 weeks, i went to see him, stayed at his place, went to the beach played freesbee, and that was when he told me we were to remain friend and we were to stop kissing and touching each other all over, quite intense.  this confused me, because he still could not stop kissing me or touching me once we were alone in a room.

Any way he invited me to a music festival for the following week, then he called to cancel it and said he could not make it. Then He agreed to come down and see me the following weekend. so i bought him concert Tickets and a £60 train ticket and posted it and he just flipped. he stopped taking my calls for  like four days, I texted him twice every day this whole time. He then finally picked his phone and said what I wanted was different from what he wants. that he was not coming down again because he was starting work, and he never should have come down in the first place, he said i could not come and stay with him again. That I was too much for him.  So we broke up even though we had not started going out. this really hurt me, and I cried a lot without letting him know I was hurt. i pretended it was ok for us to just be friends, but he makes me feel like a million dollars. He was ever so nice to me when i was with him, and I have somehow managed to fall in love with him. I miss him every single day, think about him all the time. Its weird but I really do love him and think we deserve to be together. Whilst he was with me, he said this was what he had prayed about and hoped for.

I saw him one last time after that., I went to Where he lives the following weekend. i spoke to him whilst he was at work. He had only a few minutes,. I appologised for calling too much and for everything else. said for second chances and that i would be happy for us to just be friends. I gave him 2 gifts for him and his younger brother so they could contact each other free, as he really loved his brother. I then appologised in advance before giving him the bag with gifts and 3 cards explaining how it normally takes years for me to feel about someone like that, that i had not planned it. i realised my mistake and was sorry. and will settle for friendship.

I have not heard from him since. i can not stop thinking about him now its been four weeks, but i have stopped calling and texting him.  I am going to where he lives by the sea from 27th dec to 3rd jan. i am really praying I will meet him again during that trip. I am spending all my time planning this trip, toning myself up trying to look younger as he is 6 years younger than me. freshning myself up and trying to look really attractive to hope that he will fall in love with me all over again. i do not have a clue as to what to do when I get there. i know not to call, go to his place or give him any gifts. that much i have learnt.  but i love him dearly and want to win him back into my life as a boyfriend, lover whatever. i would be lieing if i said i did not miss him teribly, or that i was happy to settle for just friendship. please help

How do i get him interested in me again.

How do i make him forget all my mistakes,

How do I lure him to come and visit me in my holiday cottage.

How do i get him to invite me to his.

How do I contact him or accidentally bump into him and make the most of it.
I just really want him back in my life.

Best Regards

Answer
Dear Peju,

I am sorry to say that once this sort of thing gets going, it is practically impossible to redeem.  This is why I suggest Dating Coaching for you.  You really need to understand the "rules" of the game.  "Too much too soon" can really kill a viable relationship.  Many of us have to learn this the hard way, and it's so sorrowful, I hope once will be enough for you.  I hope you will contract for coaching so we can process this.

The best thing you can do at this point is to leave him completely alone.  No calls, to txt. no "just a little" ANYTHING.  The worst thing to do right now would be to pursue.  IF he really likes you, for a girl-friend, then his backing off MIGHT mean that he needs time to think.  Whether it means that, or that he is truly disinterested (which you should not take personally), it will not help for you to "pursue," "lure," "accidentally run into him" or anything else.

IF he is interested, IF he is available, AND you leave him alone, then he will come back to you.  Either way, it will not work for you to pursue him.

I hope you will contact me for coaching so we can go over why what you just did with this man does not work.

All the best,
Susan Dunn, M.A.
