I'm a 29 year old woman on the dating scene.
Lately, a lot of men (mainly the ones out for sex/fun/games) are remarking to their friends that I am way too smart and serious and they see me as the 'marrying kind' and they see me as 'above' all the other women, but they are not ready for a serious relationship yet. So they go for easier prey, girls that do one-night-stands and give easy sex to any guy.
Does this mean they saw me as too much of a challenge?
And does it mean that maybe in another 5-10 years or so, or whenever they want to settle down, I am the type of women they will be interested in THEN, when they want to get serious, just not now?

No it means exactly what they say. You are the marrying kind. They aren't interested in marriage. Therefore they aren't going to date you, "lead you on," waste your time or theirs. Men are pretty direct.
No you can't turn it around and say that "therefore" you would be attractive to "men" who want to marry, because at that point, it becomes personal, one man and one woman. Just because a man is ready to settle down and marry, doesn't mean he will be interested in you for that purpose.
It's a compliment, of sorts. Just smile and say "thank you."
If this is true, congratulate yourself that you make your standards and intentions clear.
