Dear Susan,
I am in a horrible dilemma of being stuck in a lagging phase that has much to do with age. I am 20 years old, and I consider myself to be a pretty mature person who is trying to broaden my horizons and lately I have been feeling the need to explore all different kinds of options. I have only had one relationship in my entire life and I prefer to save intimacy for the right person. The question here would be I work with someone who I am very much attracted to but he is 30 years old. I am attracted to his personality, behavior, charm and all of the above. I guess my problem is I feel like I am building up anxiety over it because I feel like I cant handle someone who is that much older because of my lack of experience. I know that I need to be a bit more bold but I do not know how to come about it. Should I risk it, and will it be worth it?

Dear Ronni,
It is not really a good thing to be an experienced dater.  This is particularly true in the case of men.  No, it's particularly true in the case of women.  If you are insecure in a way that's a good thing.  You might want to work on your social skills, as that will stand you in good stead in all areas of your life.  

I don't know what you mean by "risk it."  Has he asked you out?  A man who is attracted to you will ask you out.  There's nothing you need to do.  If you're asking me if he asks you out, should you accept - sure, why not?  There isn't much different between 30 and 20.  Actually men mature so much more slowly, it's not a bad combination at all.
