How to Attract the Man of Your Dreams/Long distance love

Question
I have been involved with a man long distance for a year and a half. We see each other every 2-3 months. I am not sure how to define what we are doing,(in a relationship, or dating). We grew up in the same neighborhood and reconnected recently. I have recently begun to suspect he is "dating" others. When I asked if he were cheating. He said it is only cheating when you are married. He says he has a don't ask don't tell policy. I am baffled. I don't want to stop seeing him but I am confused by this attitude. He calls all the time and is always anxious to see me. If we are just dating I guess I can't expect exclusivity.Should I continue to pursue this man? Or cut my losses and move on?? He really is a great guy. He tells me all the time that he loves me and that i have his heart. He has been married and divorced twice.
Confused

Answer
you're essentially occsionally getting together in a casual, open relationship where he no doubt has the time/inclination to see others; if you want/need/expect/deserve more than this, look elsewhere..ps forget the smooth talk, it's the behavior that counts.. ps it's cheating whenever a promise of exclusivity is made, then broken..
