Question
He's my bio partner. He's funny and sweet and we've been talking for what seems like ever. Recently he emailed me to tell me that he wouldn't be coming to school and I had mono so i made a joke about letting it slide. That was two weeks ago, since then we talk nightly for about 30 minutes online. He's always on before i am. We flirt . . . alot and the one time he made a romantic overture, I didn't realize it until later. I'm still unsure whether he meant it about me or not. (He said he wanted a girlfriend, vague right?) I like him alot and i'm pretty sure he likes me back. But we're both really shy, and I don't want to make a move that could damage our really good friendship until I know for sure. Is there a way to know for sure? A way to trick him into telling me perhaps?

Answer
A cliche back atcha -- only time will tell.  If a guy is interested, wild horses couldn't keep him away -- though it might take him a while.  There's no such thing as "shy."  It means he isn't emotionally ready or available for a relationship, or not sure.  Either way, only time will tell.
