Answer
Gudiya,

The customs are different in India and I don't know where he is from. This makes a difference, but for most modernized people this would be my advice:

* Don't be afraid to make the first move, but don't be too forward.
* Don't have a romantic relationship at work, but if you meet a good man there, become good friends and then see what happens (someone might end up having to change their job - are you willing to be the one to change?)
* Get to know each other during lunch breaks or go out to do something fun after work - have a drink, go to dinner, see a show, etc. - ideally something where you can talk & get to know each other better
* What to do to get to know each other better:
 - Find out what his likes and dislikes are and how much you have in common.
 - Find out about his family and his history - asking him basic, not too personal questions first - does he have any sisters or brothers, are his parents still alive, does he keep contact with them, did he go to private school or public school, was he interested in sports, etc.
 - Ask him what he misses the most about his country.
 - Ask him what his dreams for the future are. See if it sounds like you'd fit into that future.
 - Look him in the eyes when he answers to see if there's emotion and what that might mean in relation to what he is telling you.
 - Don't ask too many questions all in one time together - take time to get to know him better.

It might not work out, so be prepared for the let-down, but remember, they say "better to love and lost than never to have loved at all".

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Expertise

I've been answering questions online for over a decade & have received good ratings. I've also helped people in many other situations - in person and in other ways online. Looking for a lifelong, loving relationship? I`ve been with the same partner for 30+ years and it's not just a coincidence. I've worked at it and the first part was to find the right man for me. I hope I can help you do the same.

Experience

My own marriage has worked out great, though it has taken work, I've learned a lot and continue to learn. I realize, though, that everyone is different and so is each relationship, so I enjoy observing others. I've also read a lot about the subject and know many couples - some who have made poor partner decisions and others who've maintained a lifelong relationship of love.

Education/Credentials
I am educated as a teacher and primarily work with young people, many who are already attracted to the opposite sex at a young age, but their families often are poor role-models for having a life-long relationship.
