How to Attract the Man of Your Dreams/Dating and relationships

Question
Hi Susan,
I need to know if I should pursue a relationship with my ex-doctor?  See I was his patient for 4years and we had a great doctor patient relationship.  However, two years ago he became divorced and he has full custody of his children age 9,10, and a step daughter16.  Since his divorce we have become very close friends, he buys my kids presents for their birthdays and for Christmas. It all happened this past summer he called me when he was out of town and asked me to pick up his kids from their coaches house because their mother never picked them up from practice. I did and he came to pick them up two days later. well since then I have spent a lot of time with the kids.  His daughter stays with me every weekend. Then a month ago he gave me $400 to pay my bills with.  This past weekend he gave me his checkbook to go shopping with his daughter.  The thing about is now im beginning to have feelings for him that have been forming for the past year or so.  I think about him all day long. I want to tell him how I feel but I don't know if he feel the same way. The only physical contact that we have had is a hug .  We can talk for hours to each other. So I know that we can get along with each other. So I don't know what to do?  Should I tell him or not. Now I've found another doctor because of our friendship, so that frees him of any ethical issues. However, I want to tell him how I feel  so that I can get this off my chest.

Answer
Dear Neet,

There is nothing wrong with telling him how you feel.  It is true that you don't know if he feels the same way until you ask.  You might as well find out for sure, so you'll know what's going on.

I hope he feels the same way you do.

Good luck,
Susan Dunn
