How to Attract the Man of Your Dreams/Ex and Me

Question
Dear Susan,
My ex of 1 1/2 year broke up with me two months ago before I left for summer vacation. He never gave me back my keys and even offered to take care of my apartment while I was away. I came back, and he asked me to dinner. We went out to dinner and had a nice time but didn't discuss our relationship. He also gave me a present from his mother who came to visit him not too long ago. After dinner, he asked me out again for a movie this weekend and had mentioned other outings with me in the upcoming weeks. It seems as if he's interested in me again, but I can't tell exactly what he wants. How should I proceed?

Confused

Answer
Just the way you are doing, and I congratulate you on your aplomb.  He's doing some good things here - asking you out in advance, talking about "the future."  Wait and see.

It's usually best to live it, not talk about it.  He may not be able to say how he felt or why he broke up with you at the time.  He's sure acting like he wants a relationship with you.  This may come out.  If you enjoy him, keep seeing him.  To get back into the relationships, it should be on your terms at this point.

Good luck!
