How to Attract the Man of Your Dreams/Riding it out

Question
Hi.  I've been seeing the same man for about five years now (although we have dated others a bit during this time as well).  We love each other, but I think we both feel unsure as to whether we should marry.  - He is loyal, etc., but he's a bit on the serious/uptight side, and that is very difficult for me.  I am more goofy and playful and need a lot of that in my life to feel happy and like I actually have a companion.  It also seems like I do most of the hugging and touching ... I think I do it because that's what I want done to me.

I know that one person is not going to be everything I want, but how do I know when I need to be logical and tell myself that this is probably as close as I'm going to get?

Thanks for your input.

Answer
unless you're going on 60, it's not time to settle for less than you deserve...common values as to what's important in a relationship is REAL important...a playful, affectionate, passionate partner should be a requirement for those like you who need such qualities...only you can decide if he's got enough to balance it out, but don't let your insecurities lead you to a life of quiet desperation, as he won't be changing...az
