QUESTION: This may sound crazy... but here goes;
I am 22 years old and have been through a divorce with sole custody of an awesome 2 year old! I am blessed regardless of my past. I have found myself attracted to a 34 year old man at my church. He has recently been divorced with no children. The only thing with this is his ex-wife was also younger than him and really burnt him. She cheated on him ect... I have learned to let go of my past and give men another chance. He says that because that relationship didn't work that we wouldn't. He said I was a sweet girl. ouch. He has no idea what maturity level I am on. Is there a way to show him without pushing him? I respect his hurt yet I wish he would give me just a small chance.
ANSWER: Dear Jessica,
Hard as it is, the best thing to do it to tell him to get back to you when he gets over that stage in his life. At this point he is simply looking through foggy glasses, and couldn't see you as you really are anyway.

QUESTION: Quick general question; is 12 years difference of age a lot in this situation anyhow?
Dear Jessica,
Yes it is. Generally speaking marriages work better between two people around the same age, say within 5 years of one another. Statistically, when the man is that much older, they do not last. Of course there are exceptions.
