This woman does not have an insecurity or neediness; sounds to me as if she fell head over heels for the guy; and it is the man here who is needy; sounds to me as if he is the one who is desperate. Even so, the guy may just have some issues he needs to work on himself. I do believe that everyone should atleast be given a bit of slack. The hardest time I've ever had with men is what we would call "play-boys"; or men who are "emotionally abusive". Either way, sounds as if balls in your court.
