Question
I have a bf but we are far from each other the only way that we communicate is through chatting in the internet and through phone. He has been my bf for a week now and everything seem so fine and doing well but it seems destiny dont want us to be happy because he will be leaving to europe soon and he will be away for one year and the only thing that we can communicate is through email and phone. He promise me that he will email me everyday and call me once in a while but i cant see him on cam anymore. I dont know if he is only using this to get away from me and i even asked him about this but he said no. I ask him if i go to canada next year and do something to be with him, will he wait for me? the only answer that i got from him is maybe yes or maybe no bec he will not know what is going to happen in a year. If he is sure about his love to me he should have said to wait for me no matter what will happen. I dont know if he really loves me. I have all this doubts now but he assure me that for now he do love me. Will i forget him now or hold on to this relationship? I love him so much and i dont want to lose him. Please help me what to do?

No one knows the future. He's being realistic. It doesn't mean that he doesn't like, or even love, you, though it's hard to have that chemistry spark without being together in person. Distant relationships are very hard and often don't work, but it all depends on the 2 of you. If you really want it to work, you can make it work. Play online games together, plan to watch the same movie and then discuss it, or read the same book and then discuss it. You need to find things in common to talk about. Talking about how your week went only goes so far. Either one of you could meet someone else in that year and that spark of chemistry could happen and then you might decide it's not worth waiting, but in the mean time, you could have a great friendship relationship with him online. It won't be a waste of your time or heart. If he finds someone else, try to be happy for him. Hopefully he'll be happy for you if it happens to you. If that doesn't happen, maybe your dream will come true & the 2 of you can be together. You can be hopeful and realistic at the same time.
