How to Attract the Man of Your Dreams/I Like this guy but I work with him

Question
I really like this guy at work and have for quite some time now.  We are friends and talk about things sometimes.  He is a really nice guy and makes me laugh.  The problem is I dont know how he feels about me and I work with him.  I do not want o say something that will make things weird at work between us, and Ive heard him talking about how he doesnt trust it when a girl asks a guy out.  He feels that girls just dont do it and so when they do there has to be a hidden reason.  So i feel my options are really limited.  Is there anything I can do?  How can I know with some surity that he likes me too before I even suggest or hint about us going out? I can use any advice you can give me. Thanks.

Answer
the only way to know is to look at the behavior; if he's interested, he'll let you know; if he doesn't, he's not that interested, for whatever reason...until he actually asks you to do something, lower your expectations and assume it's just a casual work relationship..
