Dear Azure,
How can I maintain a relationship with a man that my 2 children don't like? They can't give any reason for disliking him so I have nothing to work with. He is an incredible person who would like to marry me, neither of us want problems with any of out kids. Help me please, I don't want to give up a wonderful relationship nor cause friction with my kids.   thanks     dj

there's no decision here; you can't allow your kids determine who you spend your time with; it's possible they wouldn't like ANYONE, especially when they can't even tell you why; i'd tell them he's staying, but that it would really be important to you if they opened their minds and gave him a chance; he could also make a better effort in that regard; it's possible they may NEVER really like him, but the more important point is that they learn to RESPECT him, along with your right to be with who makes you happy...az
