QUESTION: hey I'm chris. let me give you the facts real quick. i was starting wide reciever and backup tailback on the freshman football team, my baseball team went to the USSSA world series and got second, i won the mvp of the world series along with 3 other guys from the opposite team. i bench 40 pounds over my weight, i squat 90 pounds over my weight, i'm a super athlete, but i am also a good guitarist and love write songs. Sounds like I'm a pretty popular guy huh. Wrong! none of the girls at my school know who i am. Ive never had a girlfriend. i hang out with the most popular guys in school but i tend to just blend in because i like to do my own thing and im kinda shy. well theres this one girl at my school that i really like. she does know who i am because she went to the mall with my friends and they invited me. shes so funny though, when i see her in the hallway shes always like "Chris!!!!!!!!!". but since i've never actually had a real girlfriend or been on a real date i don't know what that means or what to do. And take in mind that shes really popular, like extremely. she has stunning features. well i hope you can help.

ANSWER: Hey Chris,

LOL you and I have the same life story, except mine is the girl version. Back in high school, I played guitar, wrote songs, played sports, was in a thousand activities, and was really pretty and had a nice body too. But for whatever reason, I never had a boyfriend in high school!

Well it sounds like this girl likes you!!! Good for you.

Ok this is what you do. Strike up some casual conversation (just like you would talk to a buddy), and then find out what you two have in common.

Then one day be like "I'm going to eat at this restaurant next weekend, wanna come with me?" or a movie, or a concert, or a ballgame, etc...whatever...and if she says yes, say "I don't have your number, here's mine, can I get yours?"

So you see...this way it looks like you two are just hanging out as friends...so in case she rejects you it's no big deal, you're just hanging out as friends.

And in case it doesn't work out, oh well there's like 100000 other girls that will wanna go out with you. Just wait till you get to college or graduate school, there's like a million girls.

QUESTION: haha, i did it. but were goin to a movie and I've heard thats not the best place to go because you cant talk to the person a lot. and just a question. did your popularity thing get any better, because your description in high school sounds just like mine.

Well during the movie put your arm around her shoulder and snuggle in close. I guess afterwards maybe you could get a bite to eat or go to a coffee shop or something and chat? At the end of the date, you might want to kiss her. And if she rejects you, don't sweat it, there's like a million other women out there. Plenty of fish in the sea :)

Oh yeah well after high school, yeah sure it got better because in college, there are no real 'cliques' because there's sooooo many students and everyone has different classes and schedules, you meet different girls every semester. So if you have beef with some guy, or some girl dumps you, you'll probably not see them around much, if you go to a big school. Plus there are soooooooooo many parties and meeting tons of different people. If you go to college in a big city you can hop on the bus or subway and go to movies, concerts, ball games, parks, downtown shopping, you name it, whenever you want. You don't have a curfew and you don't have parents and you don't even have to go to class at most schools. So even if you really are a loser with no friends, you won't be bored.

The other thing is, I've had the opposite happen. Not to sound conceited, but I look like Eva Longoria. So most girls HATE me. So the catty drama and attitude got worse from girls just hating me for my looks. Girls pick fights with me and scream at me for the dumbest things. So stupid.

I've had absolutely NO problem with men though =) big grin

QUESTION: ok your probly getting annoyed by know because this is my 2nd follow-up, but i got one more question. the kiss thing, how should i approach that. haha, like the 90-10 thing in hitch or what. and yea were gonna see a movie then go eat at this really nice japanese restraunt called p.f. changs, and I'm paying, right?

Yes you should pay being the man because you asked her. Sucks I know. But if she offers to pay, you'll know that she's a modern gal with manners :)

So after everything's over, when you're walking back to your car maybe you can put an arm around her and grab her hand or something? See if she likes it. Then at the end of the date give her one kiss on the lips. See if she likes it. You should already be able to tell from her body language whether she likes all this stuff or not.

If everything goes well then you can ask her for a second date :)

And if it doesn't who the hell cares anyway. You're gonna meet like a million other girls in the next few years.
