QUESTION: hi Ana,

I recently got this really hot girl to agree to give me her phone number and we have been flirting and texting all week and i agreed to take her out last night. any way were out having a good time but whe it got to 11:30 she says shes tired and want to go home. so i say i would walk her back to her flat but when we get there all i get is an akward kiss on the cheak and my marching orders home! this girl was giving me signals all week tht she wanted ALOT MORE than this but after last night i feel foolish and fairly pissed off!!! Is she interesed at all do you think? any suggestions?

ANSWER: Hey, don't feel bad.

Yes, she was definitely interested in you. When you got back to her flat she was afraid you would use her for sex. That's how us ladies think, on the first night we never let a guy stay over because he might think we're easy or slutty or something.

So do this. Act like nothing happened. Go ask her on a second date and let HER touch YOU this time. Be a gentleman, make her want it.

If she rejects you, just forget it. You don't need her. There are like ten thousand other girls out there that would probably be a better fit. Cultivate that 'take it or leave it' attitude.

First of all thanks for getting back to me so quick. Secondly thanks for cheering me up a bit, ive felt so low all day! I will give your advice a shot I think. Also this girl is from Canada and Im from MAnchester England. I think there maybe a cultural difference going on here regarding what to expect after one date!. Its just at the very least I might have been expecting a proper kiss just to show she had some interest - What do you think?

Yeah I am really surprised that she didn't kiss you. Well there are certainly cultural differences between people, but not really from those in the western world. So Canadians and Americans will not be much different from people from England. So she should have kissed you at least.

See, I would never do that to a guy. This girl sounds high maintainance and a loser. YOU DESERVE BETTER.

Keep the faith. An experience like this can wipe the smile off your face. You want a woman who will PUT a smile on your face.

I guess if you see her around again, you could give her one more chance and see how she acts. If she acts like she's too good for you, don't give her the time of day. Don't even bother asking her out again. Find another girl. There's plenty that would date you and not play stupid games.
