Why is it that really beautiful women with nice personalities and successful careers ... seem to have such a difficult time dating?

This is something I'm writing about in my new book, "Being a Man in a Woman's World III" - it's call the "Power Gradient". It's a little too complicated to get into in these messages, but I'll give you a quick summary:

Women want to "date up". That is, they want to date someone that is more powerful (as they perceive power) than they are. As a woman gains in general power she limits her own dating pool. There are fewer and fewer guys with greater power than she has, and thus, finding a dating partner gets even more difficult.

With beauty, many men are simply too scared to approach really attractive women. Thus, these women (who generally also have an entitlement expectation where they expect to be approached only by attractive, powerful guys), are limited by pure sociology.
