hey my name is Steve and im 17 i haven't had a girlfriend since i was 13 years old well the problem is that over the years ive gotten really picky and im tired of it because im almost done with high school and i don't wanna have 2 grow up remembering that i did nothing with girls through out my teenage life, well alot of girls tell me im attractive but i always wind up attracting the wrong type of girls that i do not want a relationship with, im not shallow or anything but you know guys always like hott girls lol,but when i finally meet a girl who is attractive i always get nervous and do the wrong thing and nothing ever works out, but when it girl who i am not attracted to she ends up liking me and want a relationship this has been happening to me for years know and i get frustrated when i see all my friends with there girls and im just there watching lol, ok right about know there is about 3 girls who like me and i do not like them back at all im not attracted to them. there are pretty girls who give me eye contact but i just don't approach pretty girls(i get nervous) but when i approach  an unattractive girl i act normal do u think i maybe im shy around those who i find attractive?,what do you think is my problem? I just want to be able to get a girl and have fun with her. well that's all for know thanks

Hey Steve,

NO WORRIES. This happens to EVERYONE. It's like my life story, lol...it's been happening to me with guys for years.

So basically what you do now...is when you see a pretty girl you want to approach, just act NORMAL. Treat her like she's your bud or your sister or something. Basically act like she's not hot, and her beauty doesn't affect you one bit.

So treat her like a regular person, and then if she seems to like you back, ask her for her number, ask her out, or suggest you two hang out together sometime, etc. If she says no, oh who cares, you're gonna find plenty of other women out there who want to date you in the next few years when you go to college anyway.

Just be chill and cool. Remember, there's no rush, you're only 17 (you're a baby LOL) and you have the rest of your life to date. What's the hurry? Even if you're 30 there's STILL no hurry to find a girlfriend or wife.

Take it easy, one day at a time, I'm sure a lot of girls would love to date a nice guy like you. You sound real cool. Just keep your confidence and chin up high (but not snooty)

I had a ton of fun in college, and met many cool people. Plenty of opportunities to date =)
