Hi doc,



       I would just like to ask. How do i know when to text a message to engage a girl in a conversation? How do i know when a girl would be free to talk with me on the phone? Because i am afraid she would not be free. And how do i deal with such situations when she is not free and i try to talk to her? This is because, this girl i like is rather temperamental as well and i am afraid that i might be a nuisance if i try to talk her all the time. Tks in advance for your answer.

Hello Bob!

This one is simple: NEVER, EVER, EVER! You should NEVER use texting to open a conversation with someone you're interested in! It makes you look like a coward and frankly, girls are totally wise to this. Further, relationships are built on tons of emotional content. When you text, you actually strip out all of that content for fact-only. That is a huge turn off to girls.

If you have her number, CALL HER instead.

Next, DO NOT try to hold your dates on the phone! The phone is ONLY for setting dates - not holding them. Do your talking in person only. That way, you won't be a nuisance at all.
