Question I have know her her for about 2 years, she has had no boyfriends, is still a virgin, I don't even think shes been kissed. She is only about 1 year older than me (i'm 15, shes 16). Whenever i'm around she is nice to me, but I don't think she thinks that I am an intelligent individual. She says that the things I say are cute, but I think that she thinks that i'm just an immature kid. Please what should I do!?
Answer Hello John!
So if I understand your question, you want to impress her by seeming older than you are.
First of all, trying to impress a girl is a bad strategy. The harder you work to do this, the less impressed girls are! The reason for this is that they begin wondering why you have to work so hard if you were really worthy of them. Thus, it works against you.
If you want to appear older than you are the best choices are to get friends that are slightly older than you - by maybe 1-2 years. You don't want to go any further than that at your age simply because you'll have a very hard time fitting in and you'll likely be used by these people.
You see, your friends say more about you than you ever could say yourself. Because of this, you also have to be careful which friends you choose. You want friends that get respect not because they demand it (such as through intimidating or violence) but because they earn it.
Getting involved in projects in school, at church or within the community is a good way to find these people - and to get involved yourself. Talk about looking mature! What if you're volunteering a few hours a week at some worthy organization, helping other kids for instance?
Not only will you meet the kind of friends you want to have and will be contributing something valuable back, but you'll look very "socially aware" and especially, mature.
Best regards...
