Hi...

I've seen this lovely girl a couple of weeks ago and I want to take her out on a date but I don't have her phone number( I do have her e-mail adress). I don't when I will see her again. Is it ok to ask her out via e-mail or does it make a bad impression of me.

Why in the hell did you just get her email address when you had the chance to get digits???

No, it's NOT ok to ask her out via email! You need to at least call her or see her in person. Using email or (gasp!) worse, texting anyone for a date just tells that woman you're a coward and you don't know what you're doing.

Please don't do that. Further, never accept an email address in lieu of a phone number. If you can't get digits, you can't get the girl - all girls know this. If they want to play in the deep end of the (gene)pool the phone number is the price of admission.

So, here's what you do: email her and tell her it was great to meet her. Remind her where you met, who you are and what you talked about. Then, simply add in, "Oh, by the way, I forgot to get your phone number. Here's mine..."

Now, be aware that she is NOT going to call you. That's not the reason you are giving her your number. It's only to get hers, so you can later call her up and set up that first date.
