Is this some kind of relationship?

Alright, first of all the relationship started out great than it went bizzaro. I was the prince charming, took her to dinners, paid, bought her gifts for valentines day, remembered her birthday, bought her teddy bears.

Than I noticed on my Birthday she couldn't remember the day it was let alone the month and it slipped by without her the person I wanted to hear it from, well she didn't say a thing.

Come christmas she wasn't that happy buying me a gift but expected the red carpet treatment. Than she has a habit of disappearing days at a time to reappear, I feel like I am starring in my own comedy movie.

Lately, I have been focused on starting my own business and we just haven't been there for each other. So in a way its over. I have found another direction in life as I guess has she.

Just wondering I'll be alone on Valentines and what I can do to cope and what are your thoughts on the above former relationship and how I can best move forward.

Dear Zack,
Valentines is way played out.  Don't worry about being on your own on Valentines day.  Perhaps you could get some of your good friends together and go have some fun.

As far as your relationship it sounds like you had certain standards that you deserve to have full filled in your life and they weren't being met.  Even though you liked this girl you want to be with someone who wants the same kind of relationship that you do.

Be happy that now you know what you want and don't want in a woman.

Dr. Dan teaches that all people come into our lives for a reason and a purpose.  She had to be with you for you to learn a lesson and it's up to you to discover what that is.
