Question
so there is this German exchange student at my school this year; she's a junior in high school and im a senior.  I recently got out of a relationship and I've been interested in this girl.  I have one class with her, and I never get a chance to talk to her.  What would be a good way to approach and get this girls interest?  February break is next week and I wanted to ask her out before then so I can spend some time with her over break.

Answer
The easiest and best way is to find a common friend to introduce you. Maybe ask her to join you and a few friends, then you have the whole night to get to know her to see if you guys are compatible. If you dont have a common friend, then talk to her about the class or something to do with school to get the conversation going. The first step is at least saying something to her. Even just a smile or saying something like "how do you like america so far?" etc. Any question. Then talk for a minute or two, then the next time talk to her about something else. Get to know her and see if she is someone you would like to get to know further.
