There is this girl at my college who always catches my attention.  I have spoken with her briefly a couple of times because she used to be in my English class.

I see her walking around campus a lot and I would like to get her number and ask her out.  The only problem is that I don't know what the best way to do this would be when she is on her way to a class.  

How can I start a quick conversation with her when we pass eachother next and get her number?  I feel that since I won't have enough time to have a real conversation with her that It wouldn't be appropriate to ask her out just yet.

I don't know if she remembers me or my name, so should I intoduce myself again?

"Appropriate"?? Seriously Cody? What's appropriate for you then? Some engraved invitation?

Stop doing this! This is *YOUR* game! (If it's not and you're just giving it away to her or any other girl, you're not going to ever get any dates anyway!)

To be YOUR game, YOU have to take charge and make this happen! Stop worrying about what's "appropriate". What's appropriate is what YOU say it is.

What you do is walk up to this girl and just say, "Hey [her name]. We should get some coffee sometime. Here, I'll put your number in my phone and call you in a few days. What is it?"

You don't say, "Ummm...hey....ummmm....could I have your number please? Pretty please?? Can I? Can I?...." You tell her what you want and you expect her to go with it.

By the way: show knows damn-well what your name is. If for some reason she doesn't, that's her problem. Let her figure it out.
