Hi Dennis!

Everyday, my girlfriend and I speak on the phone for about 30mins because we go to different schools, but when we say 'bye' to each other, i always say 'i love you' but she just usually says 'okay, goodbye! or 'have a nice day!' and hangs up. Is this something i should be concerned about, or is she just shy? She does say 'i love you' occasionally on the phone, but once a month at best.

We're in a long distance relationship for about 1 and a half years.

p.s. We're both 17 years old.

p.p.s please don't tell me to just dump her because we're in a long term relationship. You told me this once a few months ago in another question, and (with all respect) i ignored it, because I KNOW i want to be with her.

First of all, what are you doing in an LDR??? Are you really telling me that there are no girls at your local school that you could get to know? What a waste! You're probably going to ignore my answer to this question too.

The reason she doesn't say this is that she doesn't love you. She doesn't want to get all wrapped up in something she knows isn't there. When she does say it, she's feeling something at that moment, but the moment passes and fades because you can't be there to have a REAL relationship with her. She knows it. I know it and maybe someday you'll know it too.

Sorry, that's the truth. Now, proceed to ignore it.
