Well theres this girl that I really like.  Every time I see her in the hallways we always say hi.  Me and her have been to a couple movies together, and we are always going to local band shows together.  But they have all been just as friends.  But lately I have got this feeling that I want to be more than friends.  I've been trying to figure out if she is interested in being more than a friend with me, but I can't tell.  I was wondering what would be the best way to go about asking her out????

Hey, Marc. Thanks for your question. It's an important one.  

First, here is what you should NOT do:
Don't use the words "date" and "out" when you talk to her. This puts too much artificial pressure on the situation and makes things stiff.

Instead, suggest a mutual activity together - something simple but where you both will be able to spend some quality time with each other.  
For instance: "Hey, I know this cool cafe near this park. Lets go there this Thursday evening, grab something to drink and take a walk. It will be fun."  - as simple as that! And by this you will come across as a confident guy without being too pushy. The secret to doing this right is saying this to her as if it wasn't a big deal and was the most natural thing for you to do. If you don't make a big deal out of it, she won't either.  

Then, when you are out, the way to attract her is to BE FUNNY, INTERESTING, TEASING HER, ENGAGING IN BANTER AND CASUALLY TOUCHING HER ON SHOULDERS, BACK, HAIR, ETC... From there, you will be able to tell if your subtle moves are welcome or not.
