a girl i know in maths repeatingly kept sayin how smart i look and asked howcome i look so smart, den she said my new hair style (mohican) reminds her of John Trovalta from Grease.i saw her glancing at me a few times too. does this mean she likes me ? or is she just being friendly ? P.S her sister also said she likes my hair.

Hello Ben!

A compliment from a girl often (but not always) means that there MIGHT BE some SLIGHT interest, but before you go running around the room, hold on a second.

We guys are like light switches. We are either "on" or "off", but that's not how girls work. Think of them more like a pot of water on the stove. They may get warm, but it takes a lot more than warmth to be hot.

In effect, she may have opened a door - but you're still way out on the street right now. You need to walk up the driveway, through the door and into the house; closing the door behind you.

I suggest that you do this: go up to her and say, "So, you like my hair, huh? Great - why don't you find out about the guy underneith it? Let's go out this weekend. Here, give me your number..."

Ben, this might indicate slight interest but it's not enough by itself. YOU (as the guy) need to turn it into more. Don't expect her to do your work for you - she won't.
