My cd changer gives Err 2 whenever I try to play a cd-- homemade or a store bought original. It used to play all cd's just fine then all the suddenly didn't want to. I've tried using a cd cleaning disc (with the fabric sweeper things on it) and it didn't work. My player will accept a cd and start to play it but shortly thereafter it'll act like it's skipping and eventually eject the disc giving me the error code 2. Any suggestions before I go somewhere for possible repair?

This could be a loose wire.  I would check both connectors, on the radio side and on the CD side.  Mine had the same problem, and it was the connector on the CD changer side had corrosion on it.  If some play and some don't, then it may still be the reading head; possibly cleaning of the lens will help there.  Good luck,  Jan
