Subject: audi a4 2001 Bonnet Release

Question
I have a problem in that I can not open my bonnet. The lever inside the car feels like its not conneted to anything when pulled. It was working last week when I added oil to the car.

Answer
Sounds like the cable has broken.  The cable needs to be replaced, the dealer can typically get into the bonnet area; they get access from underneath.  Check if it is a simple break near the lever, in which case you can get in using some vise grips.  Good luck,  Jan
