Subject: Random misfire Audi A4 3.0 2002

Question
I had a random misfire a few months ago change and checked all spark plugs and coils.  Also change all vacuum hoses.  The light went away but now is back.  The car is also stalling it doesn't respond when you try to pass a car. And sometimes the check engine light will be flashing and the car will sound like if you had a flat tire.  What do you think it could be?  The oxygen sensor or the Mass air flow sensor?

Answer
hello
If the light is flashing  do not drive , flash means misfire. most like it is a bad coil, we replace many of them. check for fault - find out which one is it and replace or just replace all of them. I have seen some people coming back with the same problem but other cylinders., after replacing 1 coil.
If you keep driving like this -you will have to replace CATS soon , because injector works and pumps the fuel into the cat and it will damaged it.
good luck .Greg
