Question
When I bought the car, it came with a Sony Xplod stereo already installed.  Since then I have installed new speakers.  In the last week I've noticed that when driving for more than say, 15 minutes, my faceplate starts getting pretty hot and the sound would cut out for anywhere from 1-10 seconds, then just come back.  Yesterday, the sound cut out and never came back!  Now when I turn the stereo on, it powers up like normal, there's a slight clicking sound in the speakers when it first turns on, but no sound comes from either radio or CD.  Please help me!

some of the vehicles came with the infinity sound system and there is amplifier   to install a any aftermarquet radio you need and adaptor that most likely they didn't use and now the amplifier is going bad  
see if you have the infinity sound system
pull the radio and check the wires and see how was the installation done

don't have instructions for your vehicle but here is the link for other dodge so you can have and idea how is the wiring in that vehicle
