Audio Systems/2002 Pontiac Sunfire Stereo Problems

Question
My friend just got a system for her 2003 Pontiac Sunfire.  I went to put in the Pioneer cd player to replace the factory cd player and there is no power going to the cd player.  I even bought the electronic interface that those cars need so that certain electronic chimes still work.  I know that all of the wires are hooked up correctly because I have installed all of my friends cd players (plus the 3 I have had in my car) but this is my first time installing one in a car this new.
I even checked all of her fuses and they are all good.  I even took out the wire harness and interface and hooked the factory cdplayer up and there is no power going to that now.  This is the first cd player that has given me trouble.  Is it the Theftlock system or what? Or what else could I try?

Answer
Forget the head unit and harness as you have eliminated that by direct swap out and replacing the factory unit.
It is a car problem and needs to be addressed by a dealer as you have probably tripped out a safety curcuit. Following the power and Acc wires back from the set into the car will probably lead you to the problem if you want to DIY it but use a 12v safety probe or a test meter though.
