Question
Hi, I am pretty educated in this field, but a friend has come to me with a problem that I am yet to answer.  He has a 2002 Jaguar x-type, the speakers in all four doors have stopped working, the tweeters still work, but the drivers do not.  I have yet to take his panels off, but I have never heard of all four speakers just not working.  I do not know if they went out one by one, but the tweeters are still working and he states there is no sound coming from the drivers.  In my past even if they were blown, you would still hear some noise...

this vehicle is fiber-optic the tweters get power from the radio but the rest of the speakers  get the power from the factory amplifier in the trunk check all the connections behind the radio and in the trunk  

also unplug the cable from the radio and put a flashlight on
go in the trunk unplug the fiber optic from the amplifier and see if the light is there,if you don't see the light  the problem is on the fiberoptic line  20 out of 100 the problem is there there is also 1 more fuse on the side of the amplifier
