Question
The left speakers do not work with the stock CD player or radio.  The right ones work fine but the left ones reproduce no audio.  they do give some static when I fiddle with the volume knob.  Any ideas?  thanks.

Answer
Well first thing to check is the left and right output curcuits from the radio, swap the over the output wires from the radio to speakers so the left and right are swapped over, problem changed sides, right side now dead? then it's the amp in the radio fried, still the same? Then it's the left speaker curcuit that's faulty, change a speaker from left to right, problem moved, it's the speaker, still the same? it's the wiring, process of elimination but only do ONE thing at a time and revert to 'as was' if no change.
