Audio Systems/Low volume

Question
I have a 1990 Nissan Maxama came with Bose system. That broke so I put in a Clarian DXZ265 Head unit.(200w, 50x4 watts)disconnected the Bose amps and wired existing speakers direct like normal. The sound is very low.  Volume goes 0-33 scale normal listening requires 28 for a acceptable volume level.  I am 65yr old and just want good sound but don't need earth shaking level.
1) are the existing Bose speakers poor quality and power hogs?
2)could I have a impedence mismatch causing power.
3) What should I do to normalize this situation
thanks

Answer
very bad idea or installation
the bose speakers  are very good great quality but they are power hogs, you have no idea by now most likely your clarion radio is gone and any other radio will only last a couple of days

you need to replace the speakers

bose are 1.5 ohms

clarion radio and most need 4 or 8 ohms speaker

Audio Systems
