Question
My EXT 1 and 2 are locked and says I need to enter a password, but I don't know what it is. How can I reset this??

Answer
Better call the Mitsubishi people at their 800 number.

I don't know this set and could not find the manuals on it in the company web net  -  which means the set is probably older than 8 years of age. In fact, I think this model is over 12 years of age.

Back to your question:  What is the EXT1 and EXT 2?  Passwords (passcode is the term most often used by Mitsubishi) are usually related to the v-chip or parental control functions.  EXT is usually a reference to external speaker switching but I have not seen this function passcode dependent.

Older sets are mostly reset by unplugging the power cord for a couple of hours - 4 hours to be certain.  This causes all the internal voltages to discharge all the way to zero and when powered back up it starts everything back to the original preset conditions from the factory.

Finally, if this doesn't help, please clarify with me further and come back with further questions.
