Question
2000 32 inch Zenith model no. b32a24z will not turn on.  It is dead. A few months agot the horizontal would go upon warming up, but after warming up was OK. TV sounds like it is going to go on then nothing. Thanks

Answer
Since you have had problems in the past with the horizontal deflection system it could well be a total failure of that system which has placed a near short load on the power supply and activating the protection system.

Common in these sets is a failure of the main power supply, also.

Could be both systems have failed in some way.

In any event, it will cost around $200 to have a shop make the repairs. Most tv experts would suggest you put the money towards a new set due to the age of the Zenith.

Let me know if you have further thoughts.
