Question
where do I hook the power cable of the car stereo? I have amp and equlizer hooked up to car.

Answer
Can you give the make and model of the car?  And the make and model number of the head unit and eq and amp.  Then we can give you specific advisory.

Generically speaking, you must run 12v power to all units.  Most car units have three power wires:  Ground,  12v and remote.  The ground and 12v are hardwired directly to each device.  The remote comes off the ignition to the head unit for turn on.  Then a remote line comes off the head unit to turn on the amp and EQ unit.
