Question
Hi, I'm totally clueless when it comes to audio, speakers & etc but I know my boyfriend loves it! I can not keep up with him when he goes off talking about highs, mids & low whatever! But I noticed in his barbershop he still keeps this 1980's big black dust collecting boom box. I hate it & you can't even really adj the sound on it anymore. I really want to replace it with something nice, sleek but still loud of enough for him to appreciate it! I looked and saw these; http://www.target.com/iLuv-Micro-4-CD-Changer-Dock/dp/B000ETY8S2 ? I noticed it said mico so I'm not sure if that means the sound will be the same. I prefer something he can mount on the wall or something that does not take up too much space. Any suggestions?

Answer
Because there are so many different brands & models out there, it's hard for me to recommend any particular one. My only advice is to go to the stores with a CD that you are familiar with, and start "auditioning" the stereos in your price range. Knowing all of the "techie" stuff really isn't too important, just trust your ears.

After you've found the one you want,  take that model number and shop online - more than likely, you'll be able to find it cheaper than retail.

I'm sorry if this isn't the answer you were looking for - but rest assured that there are a lot of great systems in this price range.
