Audio Systems/CD player

Question
My cd player was in use when it suddenly went black and stopped playing.  The radio still works but I can't get the disc out.  When I push eject it relays no disc.  So do I need a new cd player or is there a fuse?

Answer
Probably best strategy is replace the player. The problem is it has failed completely; internal problems no doubt, such as, bad laser diode, bad power supply regulator, open motor, and so on.

Most new cd players are less expensive than the repair of the old one; sad, but true.

Getting the disc out often requires removing the cover and mechanically removing the disc by manually releasing the holding mechanisms.

Hope this will help you.
