Question
My wife has a Sansa View MP3 player.  Can it be used with a so-called "ipod dock" or is an ipod dock only for an ipod brand MP3 player?  Also, if she wants to play the Sansa View on a home audio system, what connects the player to the system and what does she plug it into?  Thank you.

Answer
Yes, iPod dock connection is unique to iPods only.

However, you can purchase a cable which will connect between the output of the iPod and the input of an A/V device using such as rca input jacks.

You can purchase, also, a Sansa docker which will allow connection to a usb input on the pc or an audio device.  See:

Hope this will answer your questions.
