Question
my cd (6) changer wont open and my screen sees err

Answer
There are a number of causes; wear, damaged mechanism, bad discs inside, burned out motor, laser diode failure, etc.

It is best to take it in to a shop who is familiar with troubleshooting these kinds of problems.  It may be a replacement changer may be necessary.

It will require some testing and checking; the unit will likely need to be pulled out for bench testing in order to find out the exact problem.

Without knowing the car and year I cannot tell you a replacement cost, but probably in the $400 range if that is what must be done in the long run to get it going again.

Hope this helps.
