Question
I have a 1998 ford taraus. About a month ago the car radio began to go out abrubtly, and then suddenly come back on, then sometimes it would not come on for a couple of minutes, then it would not come on for like a day or two, then suddenly pop on, to now not coming on at all! it is the original radio, and I have a six-disc cd player connected in the trunk. Do you have any suggestions??Please help. thanks.

Answer
the radio is in the trunk of your vehicle   left side  that unit gets damage or water gets inside because of bad trunk seals
check all the wires plugs first if no problem remove this unit and send it to get repair

good luck here is a picture how it looks
